Corporate Social Responsibility

Cyber View has always felt that it is important to give back to the community around us. One of our focuses has been community outreach and below lists a few of the organizations we have had the pleasure of working with.

National Safe Place (www.nationalsafeplace.org) is a nation-wide youth outreach program that educates thousands of young people every year about the dangers of running away or trying to resolve difficult, threatening situations on their own. This easily replicated community initiative involves the whole community to provide safe havens and resources for youth in crisis.

Cyber View has worked closely with National Safe Place since September 2000. In April of 2006, Cyber View provided National Safe Place with a dynamic web site solution. Our content management system was utilized to provide easy content maintenance for the National Safe Place staff in addition to dynamic profiles for their hundreds of coordinators throughout the United States.

The Youth Risk Behavior Endowment, part of the Minnesota Tobacco Settlement, funded the educational web site and video project developed and named by youth in 2001 as the time "Washington County Youth Depression Awareness and Suicide Prevention." Youth involved with the project helped to create the web site that teaches youth about depression awareness and suicide prevention. The video and teachers guide were distributed to health classes throughout school districts in the county in 2002 and 2003. Today the web site has been expanded to provide a variety of positive education information for youth related to tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, depression awareness, and safe driving. A new section was added devoted to help parents communicate with their teenagers. With this transition the web site shortened its name to Washington County Youth (WACY). WACY was one of the initial organizations to use CyberStudio (Cyber View's content management system) when it was first released in May 2004. Cyber View is proud to support WACY and their mission.

Located at Purdue University, Cary Quadrangle is an all male residence hall built in 1928. The residential life staff of Cary Quadrangle fosters an environment conducive to academic success, safety, and personal growth through the diverse array of out-of-the-classroom programs offered by the staff. Cyber View is proud to contribute to the community and has donated the myRA Portal system to Cary Quadrangle. This web-based system allows the residential life staff to track the progress of the programs held throughout the school year.

In addition, in April 2009 Garofalo Enterprises Inc, the parent company of Cyber View, established a financial scholarship for resident assistants Cary Quadrangle who exemplify a high standard of performance.
